Staff Governance is open to all school full time, non-academic staff on the core campuses of IU Bloomington, IU Fort Wayne, and IU Indianapolis. The Core Staff Governance was established to foster stronger professional and interpersonal bonds among core staff and between the core campuses and to engage with the broader campus communities.
Staff Governance strives to support and develop staff by identifying shared initiatives, then collaborating through committees to promote professional development (staff retreat), perform community service, recognize exceptional employee performance (staff awards), assist with new employee onboarding, and more.
In addition to hosting social and professional development events, Staff Governance performs the essential function of representing staff in the decision-making process of the School of Nursing’s leadership committees. Staff Governance provides a channel of open communication between staff, administration, and faculty; helps to identify key concerns of staff and work towards solutions; and promotes the professional development of all staff.
