Biography
Erin Smith is a lecturer at the IU School of Nursing's Indianapolis campus. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Education from Indiana University Bloomington. Erin then earned both her BSN and MSN in Nursing Education from Indiana University Indianapolis. Her nursing career has focused on clinical trial research in dermatology and infectious disease, hematology/oncology, and clinical educator roles with several major pharmaceutical companies.
In 2024, Erin joined the Indiana University School of Nursing, where she teaches a variety of undergraduate courses, including community nursing, health assessment, and nursing intensive lecture and clinical courses.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Erin serves on several School of Nursing committees and is an executive board member for an Indianapolis nonprofit free clinic, reflecting her ongoing dedication to community health, service, and advancing nursing education.
