Biography
Jared Rutan is a Program Manager at the Indiana University School of Nursing, where he provides program, project, operational, and financial management for a diverse portfolio of initiatives, including federally funded programs, faculty-led projects, and clinical and community initiatives. He currently serves as Program Manager for Midwest LEADRS, an NIH/NINR-funded R25 research education program, the Center for Enhancing Quality of Life in Chronic Illness (CEQL), and the School of Nursing Faculty Writing Groups, while also providing financial management and grant oversight for the Lafayette Street Family Clinic in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Jared previously supported the School of Nursing’s NINR-funded T32 predoctoral and postdoctoral research training program, with responsibilities spanning program administration, trainee support, financial management, grant administration, and federal reporting.
Prior to joining Indiana University, Jared held healthcare and clinical research leadership roles at Franciscan Health, with experience in oncology, research finance, budgeting, quality improvement, and clinical research operations. His work focuses on process improvement, operational efficiency, and developing systems and workflows that support successful and sustainable programs and projects. Jared received the School of Nursing Collegiality Award in 2023 and the Dean’s Award for Innovation.
