Biography

Dr. Jamie Rausch is an Assistant Professor (tenure track) at Indiana University School of Nursing, Fort Wayne campus. Dr. Rausch graduated from The Ohio State University with a PhD in nursing science and was a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Future of Nursing Scholar. Additionally, she received a BSN (Cum Laude) from Ohio University. Dr. Rausch’s program of research is focused on clarifying the biological links between systemic inflammation and chronic diseases in aging specifically the effects of adipokines, leptin, and adiponectin that regulate inflammation. Rausch’s goal is to better understand how inflammation affects symptoms and risks of chronic diseases. Dr. Rausch’s dissertation was funded through the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and focused on chronic systemic inflammation in older adults with chronic venous leg ulcers.
