Biography
Dr. Holtel is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Indiana University School of Nursing on the Indianapolis campus. She earned her BSN in 2001 and MSN in Nursing Education in 2009 from Indiana University, and completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts, in 2023.
Dr. Holtel’s primary clinical background is pediatric nursing, with additional experience in nursing professional development. She joined the IU School of Nursing in 2009 and has taught a wide range of undergraduate courses, including pediatrics, medical-surgical nursing, community nursing, health assessment, capstone, and nursing synthesis. She also teaches in the MSN in Nursing Education program.
Dr. Holtel currently serves on several School of Nursing committees, is actively involved in the Alpha Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, and serves as the NCLEX Success Coordinator for the IU School of Nursing in Indianapolis.
