She has applied this expertise to integrate health policy and advocacy across multiple degree programs, including advising and supporting faculty-led initiatives. She uses her expertise to assist faculty integrating policy and advocacy into curriculums throughout IUSON degree programs. The Bridge: IUSON Faculty Health Policy Mentoring Program is a model she created to advance faculty integration of policy and advocacy into career endeavors. She also engages with the Indiana University Government Relations State and Federal staff on behalf of IUSON and spearheads IUSON’s involvement with the Indiana General Assembly. Dr. Crowder fosters the school’s involvement with key health policy stakeholders and organizations to address state and national health and nursing profession issues.

She was a 2019-2020 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) Health Policy Fellow, participating in a one-year Washington, D.C., residential program.
