Meet Dr. Emily Sego
Emily Sego, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, CPHQ, is a nursing executive with over 25 years of healthcare experience across clinical leadership, health system operations, and healthcare technology. Her work focuses on aligning clinical practice, technology adoption, and organizational strategy to improve patient safety, quality and operational performance.
She currently serves as secretary/treasurer of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is a member of the Indiana State Board of Nursing. Dr. Sego previously served as president of the Indiana State Nurses Association, where she led advocacy and professional initiatives during a period of significant change in healthcare delivery and workforce dynamics.
Dr. Sego obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Master’s degree in Nursing Education from Indiana University and earned the Nurse Executive Advanced board certification (NEA-BC) credential.
Her executive leadership experience includes serving as vice president of the Cardiovascular Service Line at Ascension St. Vincent and as chief nurse executive for Ambulatory Care at Community Health Network. She currently works as a clinical healthcare executive at Nihon Kohden America, a medical device and digital health solutions company, where she partners with health systems to advance clinician-driven innovation and technology adoption.
