IU School of Nursing students may preference more than one location in their application to the school. However, in order to be considered at alternate campus locations, you must be admitted as an intercampus transfer to those locations. This includes for first preference locations if they are not the same as your current home campus.
This process must be submitted by May 15 to be considered in fall application rankings and November 15 to be considered for spring application rankings. If you do not have a completed and accepted intercampus transfer, you will not be included in the rankings for that campus location.
To get started:
- Go to apply.iu.edu.
- Begin the application. Select your intended campus, IU Bloomington, IU Fort Wayne, or IU Indianapolis.
- When asked about taking college courses after high school, click "Yes."
- You MUST list the current IU campus you are attending with accurate dates of attendance. This does not automatically happen.
- When searching for schools, please search "Indiana Univ" or "Indiana University" to find your IU campus.
- Select pre-nursing as your intended major.
- No fee is expected for intercampus transfer applications. If you see a fee when you get to the application fee page, you have not completed the application correctly.
- Complete all questions on application.
- Questions on the application must be completed in order.
- Any “errors” or missing information that are highlighted in red when you move to the next page, must be corrected or filled out before continuing to the next section.
- Jumping ahead on the application causes errors in processing system logic.
- Submit application.
Tips:
- When selecting the enrollment term, be sure to select when you plan to begin as a nursing student, if admitted.
- You must select “I want to earn a Bachelor’s Degree,” as the purpose for attending Indiana University in the Academic Goals section. Selecting a different option in this menu will stall processing of your School of Nursing application.
