Roderick D. and Helen Kinnear Mackenzie Scholarship |
Created by Sheona Mackenzie and Kinnear, Mackenzie, Roderick, and Neil Theobald in tribute to Sheona's parents Roderick and Helen Kinnear Mackenzie. Roderick wanted to study politics and music, but was offered a scholarship for the ministry only, so did not attend college. Helen was a gifted student and wanted to study medicine but was only able to afford nursing school. Roderick and Helen valued education and firmly believed that access to education should be made available to all and not just the privileged. They immigrated from Scotland to the United States, so their children could study any field they chose. Criteria:

This scholarship has been established by the husband and children of Virginia, who was an IUSON Class of 1955 alumna. Virginia dedicated her life to the nursing profession, as well as nursing education and helping those in need. The scholarship is intended to assist undergraduate and graduate nursing students at the IUPUI campus who demonstrate financial need and are residents of Indiana. Criteria:
