U.S. News Releases 2018 Best Online Programs Rankings: Indiana University School of Nursing Among Those Recognized: Ranking #23 Nationally; #2 in Indiana
U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in education rankings, announced today the 2018 Best Online Programs rankings for adults looking to further their education and improve career-related skills. Indiana University School of Nursing is among those recognized for Master’s in Nursing graduate nursing programs. The School of Nursing offers students nine tracks within its Master of Science in Nursing program, with five of those taught in a distance-accessible format. IU School of Nursing’s ranking jumped 16 spaces to #23 nationally and #2 in Indiana.
"IU School of Nursing is being recognized again in 2019, for our excellence in education of the next generation of Advanced Practice RNs (APRNs),” said Robin Newhouse, dean of the IU School of Nursing. “This ranking reflects our faculty's commitment to student learning and mentoring, a curriculum grounded in evidence-based clinical practices, and an emphasis on empowering exceptional nurse leaders. Master's-prepared nurses play a critical role in patient care across Indiana."
U.S. News rankings for graduate nursing programs are based on five criteria – engagement (25 percent), expert opinion (20 percent), faculty credentials and training (20 percent), services and technologies (15 percent), and student excellence (15%).
