March 26, 2020 coronavirus COVID-19 IU School of Nursing response

Governor Holcomb issued a Stay-at-Home order for all of Indiana effective March 24, 2020 until April 6, 2020 at 11:59pm. This FAQ provides clarity and guidelines.

All faculty and staff continue to work remotely at this time and are available via telephone and/or email during regular business hours (M-F, 8am – 5pm). The nursing building and the campus is open although the simulation lab space is closed.

Students [IUPUI and IUB] will return from spring break on Monday, March 30th. Most residence halls and on-campus housing are closed. Students will attend class and clinical virtually through the end of the semester.

University-sponsored or affiliated domestic and international travel is suspended. Personal international travel is strongly discouraged given the associated risks of possibly being unable to return for some period if the situation changes. Travelers returning from countries designated Level 3 by the CDC are subject to 14-day self-quarantine off campus upon return.

There are new travel restrictions from the CDC regarding travel to Europe.

Please complete the secure Traveler Information Form if you plan personal international travel.

Other than for students returning home, personal travel outside Indiana is also discouraged.

IUSON has suspended all in-person research-related patient/participant visits to protect the health of our faculty, staff, students and participants. The suspension applies to both domestic and international research. In addition to these suspensions, all onsite chart reviews and auditing visits are suspended as well.
