Program Overview
MSN-DNP Dual Degree

Accelerate Your Career in Nursing Leadership

The MSN-DNP Dual Degree track is designed to accelerate the pathway from BSN to DNP, saving both time and money. MSN-DNP Dual Degree track students move seamlessly from the MSN to DNP curriculum. Twelve credits (4 courses) are counted for both degrees saving time and money. The MSN is awarded at the completion of the required MSN courses; students then complete the additional DNP courses and are awarded the DNP. Graduates are prepared to lead teams, work at the highest level of advanced practice, manage a service line or clinical department, impact health policy, or take on a leadership role in a wide range of healthcare and education organizations.

Full-time and part-time plans of study are available and allow you to set your own pace. The informative curriculum explorer below will help you visualize how 12 total credits of DNP coursework are built into the MSN curriculum. The MSN-DNP Dual Degree track curriculum outlined below is the full-time plan of study; a part-time plan of study is available as well. MSN-DNP Dual Degree track cohorts start each fall.

The MSN and DNP Dual Degree plan of study was approved by DNP Curriculum & Student Affairs 11/08/2018, and approved by Faculty Council 12/10/2018.
