Executive Leadership DNP

An Innovative Executive Leadership Curriculum Designed to Advance your Career

The Doctor of Nursing Practice Executive Leadership track is a Post-MSN DNP track designed to prepare nurses to lead teams, work at the highest level of advanced practice, manage a service line or clinical department, impact health policy, or take on a leadership role in a wide range of healthcare and education organizations.

The informative curriculum explorer below will help you visualize how the DNP coursework is built to advance knowledge, skills, and abilities as you progress through the DNP program. A five-semester full-time plan of study and an eight-semester part-time time plan of study are available. Executive Leadership track cohorts start each fall.

The DNP degree requires a minimum of 1000 total clinical practicum hours. Students may transfer up to 500 clinical hours from their Master of Science in Nursing into the DNP. An additional 500 hours are required in the DNP curriculum. Variable credit courses allow students to complete additional credits to meet the 1000 total required hours. Applicants submit verification of MSN clinical hours with the application using the MSN Clinical Hours Verification Form completed by the institution granting the master’s degree.

The DNP Executive Leadership Track plan of study was approved by DNP Curriculum & Student Affairs 11/30/2017, and approved by Faculty Council 12/11/2017.
