In addition to her work as an adjunct faculty member teaching applied ethics, Dr. Wocial serves as the nurse ethicist for Indiana University Health. She co-chairs the ethics consultation service at IU Health and serves on the nurse executive council and as a faculty member in the clinical ethics fellowship at the Charles Warren Fairbanks Center for Medical Ethics. Her research is focused on moral distress of professional caregivers. Her current research is focused on continued development of the Moral Distress Thermometer. Dr. Wocial chairs the Clinical Ethics Consultation Affairs (CECA) committee for the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities. She is the facilitator for the Indiana University Nursing Leadership Partnership.
