Research Associate Position
Indiana University School of Nursing (IUSON) is seeking qualified candidates for a Research Associate position on the Indianapolis campus to serve as the project manager on a federally funded research project evaluating a communication intervention for pediatric oncology patients. The Research Associate will work with the Principal Investigator to provide infrastructure for the start-up, conduct and administration of the grant protocol. The Research Associate will also collaborate in writing publications resulting from the research findings. The Research Associate will be responsible for daily supervision and management of the project. Specific responsibilities will include: protocol implementation activities such as development of training materials, training grant personnel, oversee protocol adherence, and coordination of study communications; quality assurance and data safety monitoring; required regulatory documentation including IRB application and renewals, development and maintenance of participant tracking, quality monitoring and instrument database; assist with data analysis; collaborating in writing peer-reviewed articles; and management of the project budget.

Qualified applicants must hold a master’s degree in a health/science field with a doctorate preferred. A minimum of one year prior research experience working on formulation and implementation of research protocols and excellent writing, editing and communication skills is required. Interest in palliative and end-of-life care is also preferred.
