We are leading the way to improve lives through nursing research. Over the past decade, our research efforts have risen to national prominence in three specific areas:
In the last few years, we have demonstrated significant growth in research grants. In 2007 fiscal year, we received a total of $10,581,844 in external funding. IU School of Nursing ranks 8th in National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding with 16 grants for a total of $3,803,250.
Improving Lives through Nursing Research
As our population ages and medical science is able to moderate the impact of serious illness, we will have increasing needs to help patients and families live with chronic illness. Our nurses are leading the way to improve the lives of our patients and families through nursing research.
