Indiana University School of Nursing (IUSON) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Associate Dean for Evaluation. This position is responsible for providing leadership in the core School of Nursing’s evaluation efforts The Associate Dean is accountable to the Executive Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, is a member of the Administrative Leadership Group of the school, and participates in faculty governance as elected or appointed.
Responsibilities include: provides strategic and administrative direction to evaluation efforts; collaborates with school administrators in developing and implementing such plan for program accreditation; promotes teaching excellence and provides data for policy decision making and continuous quality improvement (CQI); plans and develops evaluation processes for proposals and projects; implements a process to review data instruments for validity, reliability, and need; facilitates periodic review of the school’s evaluation plan; disseminates evaluation data to administrators, faculty and staff to facilitate decision making and CQI; seeks internal/external funding to support evaluation efforts; maintains personal academic obligations in areas of teaching, research and service; and other related duties.
Qualified applicants must hold an earned doctorate in nursing or area related to program assessment and evaluation (i.e., higher education administration, organizational psychology, educational psychology, etc.) with a master’s degree in nursing for nursing majors if the doctorate is not in nursing. Expertise in program assessment and evaluation and continuous quality improvement process, recognition as a scholar with proven success in grantmanship, and licensed or eligible for Indiana RN licensure if academically prepared as a registered nurse are required. Administrative experience in higher education and demonstrated excellence in leadership and interpersonal skills are also required. The successful applicant will have a record of scholarship suitable for a tenure-track position and appointment as an associate or full professor.

| Associate Dean for Global Affairs (#12001) |

Indiana University School of Nursing (IUSON) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Associate Dean for Global Affairs. This position is responsible for developing, managing, and evaluating models of global partnerships within the IUPUI/C-IUB core campus. The Associate Dean is accountable to the Dean, is a member of the Dean’s Council, Executive Team, and Administrative Leadership Group, and participates in faculty governance as elected or appointed.
Responsibilities include: provides strategic direction, vision, and leadership to the IUSON in all aspects of global affairs; collaborates with faculty and other appropriate school administrators in overseeing development and implementation of student exchange programs within selected countries; develops, negotiates and administers memorandum of understanding related to global affairs; facilitates information exchange between the IUSON and the IU Office of International Affairs; leads grant development to secure funding to support initiatives; collaborates with research administration to develop global research programs aligned with the IUSON’s existing portfolios; works with the dean to represent IUSON’s interests within the university and to external constituents; evaluates clinical/community practice outcomes including preparation of administrative reports in area of responsibility; and maintains personal academic obligations in areas of teaching, research and service.
Qualified applicants must hold an earned doctorate, nursing major preferred, or a doctorate in a related field with a master’s degree in nursing. Administrative experience in managing programs and/or departments with responsibility to multiple constituencies, experience in developing global partnerships/relationships with schools of nursing and conducting research in other countries, and experience in teaching and securing extramural funding are required. A record of professional achievement in a clinical/community practice and licensed or eligible for Indiana RN licensure are required. The successful applicant will have a record of scholarship suitable for a tenure-track position and appointment as an associate or full professor.
