Biosketch
Dr. Richardson's research relates to the relationship of attitudes, knowledge, and social support to breast-feeding. Dr. Richardson has also done research on burnout in certified pediatric nurse practitioners. She serves on the manuscript review panel of the Journal of Pediatric Health Care. She has written a number of articles related to pediatric nursing care, published in Nurse Educator, Children's Nurse, Issues in Comprehensive Pediatric Nursing, and Journal of Pediatric Health Care. She was the national legislative chair for the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) for six years and has been secretary-treasurer. She is past president of NAPNAP and served as a peer reviewer for the AHCPR Guidelines for Children with Otitis Media with Effusion. She is a pediatric nurse practitioner and has developed well-child protocols for use in pediatric well-child clinics.
