Biosketch
Dr. Stoke's research focus in on competence in family caregiving, with emphasis on elderly caregivers who provide care in the home of family members with cognitive impairments and African-American caregivers. Research findings have been presented nationally and shared with community organizations that focus on increasing services to underserved populations. Current work is evolving to include shared caregiving among family members and further psychometric testing of the competence tool.
