Biosketch
Dr. Schwecke's clinical expertise is with survivors of violence, survivors of childhood sexual abuse, rape, partner abuse, and other severe traumas. She has a long history of community service in the area of crisis and suicide intervention. Dr. Schwecke has coauthored four editions (and 5th edition in progress) of a textbook, Psychiatric Nursing, and is an editorial board member and reviewer for the Journal of Psychosocial Nursing. She is also a contributor of psychiatric nursing questions for Lippincott’s NCLEX review text. She is a member of the Psychiatric Nursing Interest Group of the Indiana State Nurses' Association, Indianapolis Crisis Assistance Response Team, and Critical Incident Stress Management Team of Community Hospital.
