Biosketch
Having a background in medical-surgical nursing, Jarethea has served in a variety of roles in over 30 years nursing experience. She has worked as a staff RN in Tennessee, New Jersey and Indiana. Prior to her present position, she taught at Tennessee State University, and Ivy Tech College in areas of medical surgical nursing and fundamental nursing skills. She was a contributing author to an instructor’s manual to accompany a nursing textbook, Instructor’s Resource Manual and Test Bank to Accompany Caroline Bunker Rosdahl’s Textbook of Basic Nursing published by Lippincott.
Her current academic interests involve helping to create the student's knowledge base necessary for evidence based nursing practice in the 21st century. Further, she is delving into the area of nursing informatics and its role in preparing the BSN nurse to meet the innovative challenges in the information-filled world in nursing practice and health care.
