Biosketch
Dr. Boland's research area is educational research. Research foci have explored student success, program evaluation, and curriculum development. Dr. Boland has published in the Journal of Nursing Education, Western Journal of Research, Image, and Journal of Professional Nursing. She has authored chapters on program evaluation and curriculum. Dr. Boland has presented papers at national nursing and higher education conferences on faculty evaluation, computerized decision making, curriculum, and evaluation as well as workshops on curriculum and teaching evaluation approaches. Dr. Boland consults nationally and internationally in the areas of curriculum development, evaluation and learning strategies. She is the recipient of the 1989 Utah State Nurses' Association Academic Education Award and the 1995 Midwest Alliance in Nursing Rozella Schlotfeldt Leadership Award. She served on the NLNAC and CCNE Accreditation Boards. She is currently president of the Indiana Nursing Workforce Coalition and chairs the Indiana Deans and Directors.
