Biosketch

Dr. Angela McNelis has more than 20 years experience conducting research.  During her career, she has been involved in NIH funded, multi-site, multi-state, and multi-disciplinary projects examining adaptation to childhood epilepsy.  Most recently, she has been conducting research elated to best practices in teaching and learning and has received funding to develop and evaluate innovative approaches to utilize in the classroom and in online teaching.  She is currently the evaluator on a multi-site study on simulations in nursing.  She has functioned as a PI, co-PI, Project Manager, and research assistant throughout her research career and is well prepared to conduct the proposed study. 

Dr. McNelis has been the co-investigator on an NIH funded study, principal investigator on five studies, and co-PI on two studies.  She has expertise in study design, curriculum devleopment, use of technology and innovative strategies, data collection and analysis (including expertise in SPSS statistical software), and most importantly, in evalution.
