Special Funding Opportunity for 2nd Degree Accelerated BSN Program Spring 2014 Applicants
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Scholarship is a one-time award for full-time Indiana University School of Nursing majors in the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) degree program for students entering IUSON Spring 2014. The scholarship award is $10,000 per recipient. Award recipients will be selected based on the following criteria: applied for FAFSA, must have financial need, scholastic achievement, and a one page written essay explaining why you are interested in the profession of nursing, and need for financial support. The IU School of Nursing in Indianapolis (IUPUI) administers over $700,000 in scholarships annually to aid undergraduate and graduate nursing students in paying for their education. These scholarships have been made available to IUSON students through gifts and donations from generous donors.
Average awards for undergraduate students during the 2011-2012 ranged from $1000 up to $2500 for the academic year (split equally in two payments to be distributed for fall and spring semesters applied directly to their IU Student Account). IUSON Undergraduate Student Scholarship Descriptions.
