IU School of Nursing is located in the heart of the health sciences campus of Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) in Indianapolis, Indiana. Our location on the campus is within walking distance of Indiana University Health's Riley Hospital for Children, IU Health University Hospital, IU Simon Cancer Center, Eskenazi Health (formerly Wishard Hospital), and the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. We are only a short People Mover ride to IU Health Methodist Hospital. The strong focus on the health sciences makes us an ideal employer for nursing professionals and students in health care.
IUPUI is a highly successful partnership between Indiana and Purdue Universities, established in 1969. The campus offers more than 250 degrees in 19 schools. Students are awarded a degree from either IU or Purdue at the successful completion of their academic career.
The campus student life is vibrant with an active Campus Center and the opening of the University Tower residence. The housing and residence life at IUPUI expands with IUPUI's first traditional residence hall, North Hall, which opened fall 2016. We are home to the #1 ranked IU Natatorium, which hosted the U.S. Olympic Diving Trials for 2016.
Indianapolis is the nation's 14th largest city and hosts the annual Indianapolis 500, Brickyard 400, and the Grand Prix. The world's largest children's museum is here, and we are home to the Indianapolis Zoo, the Heartland Film Festival, Black Expo, and the Indy Jazz Fest. The IU School of Nursing is only a few blocks from the Indiana State Capitol, the White River State Park, the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians & Western Art, and the NCAA Hall of Champions.
