Alumni Spotlight

Patrick Robinson
BSN ’90, MSN ’93
2006 Distinguished Alumni Award Recipient
Patrick Robinson, former president of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care, understands the important role nurses play in the health and social crisis of HIV/AIDS. “So often, we don’t see ourselves as a powerful force,” he says. “But as nurses, we have a unique front-row view and there is enormous power there.”
As one of our graduates or friends, you are part of a rich tradition of nursing excellence. Our community is continually expanding to meet the demand for outstanding nurses.
Our first graduating class formed the alumni association in 1918 at the Indianapolis campus, making it one of the longest-standing nursing associations in the country today. There are approximately 26,000 nursing alumni serving as leaders at universities around the world and providing care to populations previously unable to easily access healthcare.
Your contributions can make a huge difference to our school. We rely on the generosity of our donors to help us with student scholarships, new academic programs, and advancements in nursing education and research. Contributions of all sizes are gratefully accepted. Be proud to be part of this meaningful tradition!
