Get involved as you learn! Organizations within the school and throughout the nursing profession give you a breadth of opportunities for involvement while you’re a student and as a working professional.
The President’s Council is the School of Nursing student leadership group composed of all undergraduate class officers as well as others. By participating in the council you actively participate in IU School of Nursing class-sponsored events, represent the school in a positive professional manner, engage with faculty, peers, and other nursing professionals, and exemplify the school’s core values of dialogue, respect, responsibility, and trust.
Participation in nursing organizations allow you to develop professionally and network with healthcare professionals. They help to develop leadership skills and often offer scholarship and grant opportunities. Most organizations offer a discounted membership fee to students.
